Some Whidbey feedback

This is the transcription of a mail conversation I had with Alister, a.k.a. SomeNewKid2, one of the most active users on the www.asp.net forums. He knows ASP.NET very well and was uneasy about the general spirit of what we’ve been doing for the next version. I hope I reassured him, and I’m sure this conversation can be very interesting for our other users who may have similar concerns. It’s quite long, but I think it’s worth reading.
