Guys from the Operating Systems and Middleware Group at HPI (University of Postdam) have collected links to APIs and libraries to manipulate PE files, access metadata and IL.

Joel Pobar from the CLR team gives more details and also writes about the new features part of Whidbey regarding reflection.

There is also introspection.

Hi Fabrice,

The introspection engine is also known as the CCI, Common Compiler Infrastructure, and is a private assembly inside Microsoft. You can not use it :/

Just notice that I'm rewriting something in this way for AspectDNG, as not any of the libraries in your links is relevant enough for our use, the library is called Cecil, and should be available at the end of this year.

Do you know why Microsoft doesn't release the introspection engine?

Not sure about this, all of my request to MS Corp, even through MS France, fails. Event the author have suggest to release it to MSDNAA.
