“Unplugged” Chat with Me this Thursday

Update: You can now download a audio recording of the chat here.

This Thursday (May 13th) I’m going to be doing another online LIDNUG chat session.  The chat will be from 10:00am to 11:30am Pacific Time. You can learn more about it here and join the chat at the appropriate time with this link.

I do these chats a few times a year and they tend to be pretty fun.  Attendees can listen to me talk live via LiveMeeting, and can submit any questions they want to me.  I then answer as many of them as I can in the 90 minutes.

We’ll probably talk a lot about the new features in VS 2010, .NET 4, Silverlight 4, Windows Phone 7, ASP.NET 4 and ASP.NET MVC 2 this week.

Hope to get a chance to chat with some of you there!

Scott

P.S. In addition to blogging, I am also now using Twitter for quick updates and to share links. Follow me at: twitter.com/scottgu

  • Given how bad visual studio 2008 is don't you think your time would be spent better debugging and fixing this bloody "thing" instead of running around on a PR campaign getting your ego stroked. Dear chap this software belongs on the bench not released to the public. If Visual Studio is a shining example of the quality of work under your management then perhaps you need to go back to programming and business school.

I waste more time working around bugs, half implemented features and the UI designers such as Webforms or lack thereof then I do writing code. There is nothing RAD about Visual Studio it amounts to a enormous speed bump the stand between us and delivering software to our clients. I do think, my friend you are too in love with technology, your blog and the amount of lines of code you have to write to deliver an application then you are with delivering solutions that actually DO NOT hinder us from getting our work done.

I downloaded visual studio 2010 and I must say you apparently hired the out of work vista programmers for the visual studio development group, nice job ole chap!

  • I will be there! :-)

  • @Dwain,
