How to Install New Visual Studio 2017 Workloads after Installation
With the improvements in Visual Studio 2017, the installation process can be much more compact and streamlined, allowing you to choose which “workloads” you want to install. But what happens when you need a workload that you don’t have installed? Well with a little digging I was able to determine the process to do so, check out the steps listed below.

Weblogs.asp.net has a problem, it is spam
Is anyone at Microsoft listening to the SPAM problem here on Weblogs.asp.net? My “Can anyone do anything about the spam here on weblogs.asp.net?” post from October got over 12 spam comments posted to it in the past 24 hours. I have comments all moderated, but that just means I have a crapload of work to do each time people comment.

Installing DotNetNuke using WebMatrix
Last week Microsoft released a new tool called WebMatrix, a tool for developing web applications and easily installing existing web applications. You can learn more about WebMatrix by visiting http://www.microsoft.com/web/webmatrix/. What does this have to do with DotNetNuke? Well WebMatrix makes installing DotNetNuke very easy! Silverlight blogging? and a Microsoft Store in SoCal?
So I was talking to David Silverlight down in Miami Florida earlier this evening and he started asking me about blogging. I had to lead him towards the path of enlightenment (Windows Live Writer) as he was complaining that he completely lost the blog post he had just written. Once we got that squared away David got to posting.

INETA Community Champs Program, I’m a winner!
After seeing so many of my DNN brethren take home awards from INETA for Q3 2008 I must say I was a little jealous. Well guess who’s an INETA Community Champion Award Winner for Q4 2008! I’ve not been quite as active over the past month with the holidays and writing the book, but I am wrapping back up my community efforts as we speak. There are some new exciting things coming down the pipe relating to DotNetNuke so stay tuned in 2009!

The Adventures of VMWare, Windows 7, Web Platform Installer, SQL Server 2008 Express, IIS 7 and installing DNN, otherwise known as HELL
So I had this bright idea, I'd setup VMWare on my desktop here at home and start playing with Windows 7, then I thought I would get a DNN website up and running in Windows 7, and record the whole thing with Camtasia. 24 hours later I've given up and am ready to go into manual labor! :)

Changing My Windows Live ID
I think I am finally going to change my Windows Live ID. I've always used autocrss@hotmail.com but honestly I have never used that email address, and I don't like it. So I am going to switch over to christoc@live.com. If you have me on your Live Messenger list go ahead and add that new address. I'll try to manually move over most of my active buddy lists as well.
