TortoiseSVN – Missing Key Shortcuts

Update: 2009-06-03

TortoiseSVN is a good tool. I like the frequent updates and good integration with Visual Studio through VisualSVN. What I find annoying, is breaking changes with no immediate follow-ups to fix those. Now it’s the missing key shortcuts. I prefer keyboard to a mouse, so in my case it’s a waste.

Please bring it back.

  • They switched it to use the "standard" shortcut - CTRL + Enter. I sorely missed ALT + O at first too, but I'm used to it now. Better documentation on the change would have been better, too.

  • I would like to point out that VisualSVN != TortoiseSVN. VisualSVN is the (commercial) Visual Studio add-in built on top of the (also required, open source, free) TortoiseSVN, which is the tool integrating Subversion in Windows Explorer.
    I like VisualSVN also for the seemless visual studio integration, but without the continued effort of the TortoiseSVN folks, they wouldn't have been able to build it.

  • @Darrell,
    Do you have an idea where they list all the shortcuts? I miss the old ones...

    @JeroenH ,
    TortoiseSVN is a great tool. No argue there. Key shortcuts is what I miss.
