How to disable Aero on your Vista Machine

Ok so your hardware sucks and you want performance out of your machine. Yeah I know life is a bitch, gotta deal with it. So you want to disable Aero on your machine so you can get more out of your machine. Go to Start -> Control Panel

Click on "Appearance and Personalization"

Click on "Personalization"

Click on Windows Color and Appearance

Click on "Open Classic appearance properties for more color options"

Choose "Windows Vista Basic"

Click Apply, Ok and you are done...!!!

My programmer is trying to persuade me to move to .net from PHP. I have always disliked the idea because of the costs. But he's tryiong none the less. I've been using WordPress on several websites for about a year and am nervous about switching to another platform. I have heard good things about blogengine.net. Is there a way I can transfer all my wordpress posts into it? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Currently it appears like Wordpress is the preferred blogging platform out there right now. (from what I've read) Is that what you're using on your blog?
