The webcast experience…
Well it was my first webcast… it all start when Shani asked me if I can do the webcast and I really was existed of doing it, so I say Sure! Then I started 4 weeks of hard work of disassembly to find out what is really going on there … Oh boy I don’t think that you want to know…. Lets say that ASP.NET it’s not the perfect example for architecture class.
After finish the work I start to practice performing it in 60 min. Hard work! Really hard! I even present it in front of group of developers at one of my client’s site to find out what they have to say about it.
Then I was ready, after all it’s only 40-50 people connecting to webcast so … It might be strange to talk to people without seeing how they are reacting to you, but what can happened?
Things start to change when MS guys told me that more then 500 people have been register to my webcast, and that this is quit an unordinary number… 15 min before the webcast there were about 40 people connecting to the webcast. When the webcast start it was about 190 connections and I start talking while the other guys in the room were very happy when we cross 200 connections. To tell the true I was really exited when I looked at the number of connecting users, for time to time, and saw 200+- connected user.
The webcast was interesting experience… it’s like radio broadcast. You are talking to someone whom you can’t see or know for sure if he really gets you, which was hard for me.
