Presentation of enterprise architecture work.
Yesterday we presented the architecture work that we’d been done by now to major contract of our organization. One the outputs of our Enterprise Architect (EA) initiative concern the organization contractors because they need to a. follow that architecture from now on. B. give estimation of cost to convert existing project that they have been done to follow our architecture. Therefore our CIO ask us to prepare a presentation and to hear what the constructor have to say.
I split the presentation into 4 main parts:
- Work methodology (TOGAF): short explanation about TOGAF and our work.
- Business architecture: I simply lay down all the constraints and demands that related to IT.
- Information architecture: details about how we approach enterprise data, how we manage the information and how information related to systems. We focus on sectorial vs. shared data in the enterprise.
- systems architecture: the major points that shape our system architecture.
We didn’t get into infrastructure architecture so I didn’t touch it in my presentation.
Well, the contractor guys were pretty noisy. It seems that they didn’t like at all the output of our teams. But as I see it, they don’t have any argument that might take the carpet beneath our feet’s.
IF someone interesting in the presentation, send me an E-mail through the blog and I’ll send you the file.
