I'm searching for Internet Explorer 5.0
To have more tests on older web browsers I need the full setup files for Internet Explorer 5.0. Does anybody of you have a CD from a magazine that you can send me? Internet Explorer 5.0 and 5.5 are not any more available through the MSDN because of the Java virtual machine. Would be nice to get old web browsers running...

You can install VMWare or VirtualPC/Virtual Server, then you will can install another operational systems like Linux, MacOS for Intel, and older versions of Windows (what comes with Internet Explorer 5 or 3).
I'm testing my websites with Windows 3.11 too! ;-)

Do those standalones actually work? I installed the ie6 one and go to about and it still says it is IE 7 and the window just looks like ie6.

Just Tried 5.5 and it says & but it renders things like 5.5 so i guess it is just the about window.

I've used the standalone versions. They all work well except for the IE6 and IE7 versions after December 2005. There's a workaround for them, but the older ones (IE 5.5 all the way back to IE3) all have worked for me in the past without any changes.
