Windows Azure

Windows Azure Mobile Services and Windows Azure Web Sites are finally released!

Mobile Services allows you to target Windows Phone, Android, iOS, and HTML5 for your backend. It comes with a free service tier.

Azure Web Sites hosts your sites and support a variety of languages and frameworks, including ASP.NET, PHP, Python, WordPress, and Drupal.

Interesting note for MSDN subscribers: You can now activate your Windows Azure benefits without entering a credit card number!

Windows Embedded 8.1 Industry Release Preview released.

Windows 8 Ad SDK

Improved Ad SDK (for both 8 and 8.1) with more options and tools to monetize your WinRT app.

Supported ad sizes are now: 250 x 250, 300 x 250, 728 x 90, 160 x 160, and 300 x 600.

And last but not least… huge news: PayPal SDK is available!!
