Made it to LA - Ready to Connect ....
I made it to LA – just after 4:30pm. Smoke everywhere – you can even taste it. I’m at the Hyatt downtown… I asked for DSL…well, that’s $20 bucks a day extra… then to enable it… another $7 bucks a day. Yikes… lucky I own the company because I would never approve these types of expenses

WOW - Architecting Smart Client Applications is gonna be amazing
I volunteered to help out my RD SoCal buddy (who has a special place in his heart for Canadians) Tim Huckaby for the Architecting Smart Client Applications BOF session at the PDC… There are going to be a whack of other RD’s helping out as well… some big names I might add. We’re gonna rock that session…!! Check out who else will be there: Stephen Forte, Ingo Rammer (Ingo ROCKS!!!), Tim Landgrave, Joe Homnick, Greg Frankenfield, Edgar Sánchez, Scott Stanfield, Billy Hollis, Peter Himschoot, Patrick Hynds, - and me. --- and then there’s Tim.

Exchange Migration Tools Article Update...
I wrote an article a couple of months back called Move With Exchange Migration Utilities. I was contacted by the Exchange Migration Product manager from Microsoft who indicated that I could have also referenced tools located on the Exchange CD or available for free at http://www.microsoft.com/exchange/updates contacted (specifically Importer for Lotus cc:Mail archives, Mailbox Merge Wizard, and for the case of moving from 5.5 to E2003, the Exchange Deployment Tools.

I'm pumped about being able to cover these sessions as an RD (thanks to Stephen Forte). I'll be blogging (stay tuned...) and by taking lots of pictures.

Web Service Load Testing Tools...
In the past, I've used Microsoft Web Application Stress Tool - I think they called it Homer before. Now, I'm using ACT (Application Center Test) to perform load/response testing for my web services. Looking at the app, it seems like I have less options available to me (although really cool results gathering and display options) for the execution of the tests. For example, I couldn't find a way to throttle the tests through the GUI.

PDC's DVD's
I really hope that the PDC' DVD set will be better quality than the ones from TechEd.... the demo video's are way too blurry to be any good.
