Windows 7 Betta

I’ve been running Windows 7 Beta 1 for a week now and really like it. But I’d been looking at desktop for a few days before someone pointed out the little “desktop Easter egg”.

Here’s the desktop:

OK.... I just "got" the fish on Windows 7... it's a beta fish. I never would have put it together.... my 5year-old saw the screen and asked, "Is that a beta fish mom?" I looked and said "Ohhhh!!!"

Technically, it’s a betta fish, but I’m not going to quibble about that. So, enjoy the betta!

i had the same thing happen to me. My fiance goes "oh, is that the windows beta??" I state "why yes, how did you know..?" and her reply..."the beta [betta] fish....DUH!"

Haha, I looked at the title and thought you were trying to be gangster "Windows 7 is bettah" and then I read the post. Now I feel dumb too.

Took me a few days to fig out as well. Never did count the bubbles though.

I should have though because bubbles coming out of a fish mouth is a very unrealistic, yet common, mistake made by artists. I've personally spent many hours watching my fish and NEVER have I seen even one bubble coming out of any of their mouths. Just a FYI for any artists out there.

Technically, I don't think this is an "Easter egg" though because it is in plain sight. I'd say "Gem" is a better term to use.
