Web Service Orchestration at the PDC and XML 2003

I am getting ready to write up some material for Web Service orchestration BOF session at the PDC (thank you for voting!) and  my talk on Web Services Orchestration using BPEL at XML 2003 .

In the session I could cover:

  • What is Web Service Orchestration?
  • What is a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)?
  • Why is the Orchestration of Web Services inportant in an SOA?
  • What is BPEL, what can I do with it, what are the higher level constructs, what is the syntax?
  • What do I need to use orchestrations? What tools are available, who builds them, etc ...?
  • How does BPEL fit with WS-*?
  • Are there Alternatives to BPEL? Which one should I use?
  • Who uses BPEL today?
  • How do people use BPEL? What are current practices / best practices?

Are those the kinds of question you would like to talk about (or presented on at XML 2003)?

The BOF session is scheduled for a hour and the XML 2003 talk is only 45 minutes. I would like some time for a live demo. Therefore I have to pick and chose which of these questions I can answer more in-depth. I would really appreciate any feedback.
