To anyone that might read this: DO NOT, EVER, BUY ANYTHING FROM APEX. I received a "free" Apex dvd player with the purchase of a new tv set at Circuit City. The thing was the biggest piece of junk I ever saw. It made awful grinding sounds when it played discs. It broke after about 2 months - maybe 12 uses. APEX = CRAP IN A BOX. I would try to send it in for a new one, but I read online that they never honor their warranties, so I didn't even bother.
