Traditionally, Machine Learning (ML) and Deep Learning (DL) models were implemented within an application in a server-client fashion way. The server provided training and inference capabilities by exposing web APIs of any sort (REST, web-socket, PUB/SUB, etc…) while the client was used mainly to exchange data with the server and present the inference result to the user. Whilst this approach has been proven to work well in many cases, it involves a lot of Input/Output (I/O) and a subsequent slowdown of the application. 

The People Care team must be dynamic and adapt to new trends, not only cultural but also technological and market-related. We’ve all been candidates and gone through different processes: extensive interviews, group interviews, psychological tests, technical challenges, and more. When it comes to recruiters, it’s important to understand that the role they play goes beyond selecting people. With recruiters lies a great responsibility to help with the growth or preservation of a company in the best possible way.

We consider ourselves an agile company, and therefore, every team inside UruIT is self-managed. This applies not only to development teams, but also HR, marketing and finance. Members of these teams take ownership of how their work is done by planning and managing their day-to-day activities without any micromanagement from above. There’s no boss sitting in an ivory tower, but instead, responsibility is distributed across all members of the team.
