Social Networking & Contact Management
Given the fact that we have been at this technology thing for quite a long time now, shouldn’t we have solved something as simple as the most basic need of contact management? Social networking sites like Facebook, LinkedIn, etc. bring us one step further, but there still is a major need missing.
The only glimpse of this sort of “feature” would be tools like Fonebook, which essentially scrape your contacts from Facebook and add/update your local address book. I have it set for daily scraping, which seems sufficient for now.
Whenever any of my contacts update their personal information it will be scraped down into my address book and updated. Since I’m using a WM6 device this Address Book is pushed out to that device as well.
Hopefully Fonebook starts to extend their tool to include event/calendar information as well.
