So one of the biggest pains that I have been dealing with for a while now is maintaining iTunes on my primary home machine which my wife and I frequently use.

Without getting why exactly I hate iTunes (that should be obvious to most, other than those silly Mac people) I wanted to let you know that you do not have to suffer in the iTunes world.  WinAmp can handle your iPod just as well.

First off, buy WinAmp, it rocks. Dont kid yourself anymore.  Secondly get and install the ml_ipod plug-in.  Its as simple as that.  WinAmp will do the rest for you.

Lastly, you can also take WinAmp "portable".  You can either tell it to install directly onto your flash drive, or copy/paste your winamp installation over onto your drive.  Take it anywhere, plug in your drive and your done.  So easy. 

I have yet to see if my Pro registration will migrate from machine to machine with me or if it does something silly like use the registry.

Life just got better.
