Yes totally agree with Simon about SQL 2005 Server Management Studio, it sucks! Too slow, too slow. I can't figure how DBAs who use this monstruosity can cope every day with this tool?!?

Coding4fun new project - barcode reader and Amazon web services
I just found this interesting project on Scott Hanselman blog. This is really a beast. The idea is to read books with a CueCat barcode reader, then after some decoding, building a web services to call Amazon and then integrate the results in Windows Live Writer! Pheeew!

Well if 'VIP' like Scott Hanselman have issues on the reliability of the latest Vista RC1, that doesn't sound very good at all.

The whole Zune story started with a bunch of Lego bricks :-)
It's always fascinating to see how an engineer team can start a whole new product range. I like to know more about the iPod infancy, but you can already see by yourself that a box Lego bricks are now part of the Zune project history. I wonder if the Xbox has started like this too? Something unfortunately we can't do with software!

Enhanced ASP.NET ImageButton Custom Control with Roll-Over Effects
This article describes an easy approach to extending an existing ASP.NET control; in this example, the standard toolkit’s ImageButton control is extended to support roll-over effects. Given that the standard control already contains support for both server-side click events and client click events, the control is well furbished prior to the addition of the roll-over effect.

Zune box is sexy after all
I can't find the link anymore, but some time ago, I remember this fun parody of Microsoft creating a package for an iPod with all the jokes about the box finishing covered with dozens of warning and stickers everywhere.

Zune revealed!
Finally Zune details and pictures has been released today. Yes 30Gb, Wireless (Yipeee! but obviously with restrictions), bigger screen than the iPod, FM Tuner (really cool), play videos (even better). This will replace surely my old iPod 3G. Apple you should seriously be worried!
