Phoenix Silverlight User Group - December 5th 2007
Last night's Silverlight User Group meeting at Interface Technical Training was a great experience! We dared to be different, and the result was what I always hoped for at these types of events - 100% interaction. That's right, everyone was involved.
It is my personal opinion that the typical "one-to-many" user group meetings lack the potential of greatness because too much emphasis is placed on the presenter. Last night was truly a "many-to-many" experience. I could not believe the level of excitement everyone had when the meeting was over. Attendees were in no hurry to leave. Many stayed late to network with one another. I heard comments such as "finally a real user group experience", "I can't wait until the next meeting!", "I want to be more involved", "this is the most inspired I have been from a user group meeting".
In the not so distant future, I will provide the secret to what made last night a success. In the meantime, I suggest all Phoenix-based Silverlight enthusiasts not to miss our next meeting February 6th, 2008, 6pm at Interface Technical Training. See for yourself how a user group meeting can be a different kind of learning experience!
