[Laws] John Tobler's Law of Tradeoffs
I am hereby staking at least temporary claim to ---
John Tobler's Law of Tradeoffs
"For everything there is a tradeoff."
For years, I have mentioned some variation of this law to colleagues, vaguely referring to it by saying, "As one of the great laws says, 'For everything there is a tradeoff.'" Sometimes you see or hear it as, "Everything's a tradeoff." After a certain amount of due diligence, I have not found this law encapsulated under an official name or attributed directly to anyone. Therefore, for now, I am staking my claim to it and naming it "John Tobler's Law of Tradeoffs."
If you know of a reference that definitively allocates this important law elsewhere, let me know and I will be happy to release my claim and adopt the correct attribution!
