Figuring out the new Intel Core i5 and i7 processors
A couple of days ago, I received the TigerDirect.ca newsletter and it was showcasing the new Intel i5 and i7 processors.
Since the clock speed race is mostly over, shopping for a new system is more confusing then ever with hard to differentiate CPUs from AMD and Intel. It used to be simple, the higher the clock, the faster the processor was and more costly it was.
I was curious to know more about these processors so I went to Tom’s Hardware looking for some info and found a great article on these processors:

Reading their review, it’s clear that if I had to buy a new desktop today, I’d go with an i5-750 or i7-920 processor. Tom’s Hardware recommended buy is the i5-750.
