Learning ADO.NET

I have seen a few questions popping up on LISTSERVs about ADO.NET. Mainly concluding that ADO.NET is more difficult when compared to ADO 2.6 and RecordSets.

All I can say is deal with the extra work and the learning curve as it is well worth the time and effort. Spend some time in the SDK and pick up Essential ADO.NET and read it from cover to cover. I have struggled with losing cursors, but overall a disconnected ResultSet is MONEY.

I agree. Without an investment in a good understanding of ADO.NET, you'll never be successful as a .NET programmer.
