New Must Get Book – Designing With Web Standards

Simon Jessey turned me onto Jeffrey Zeldman, and his new book Designing with Web Standards.  Zeldman has a really good blog on creating Web pages using a Rules-Based Design approach with CSS2.  If you like his ideas in this entry, you’ll want to go out and buy the book. 

About the only problem I have with the book is that the author’s picture is on the front cover.  I thought with Wrox now dead and gone, I was going to catch a break from the endless stream of geek faces on the covers of my books.  You want to put your picture on the inside, or the back, of the book, fine with me, but last time I checked most authors were not models.  I didn’t put my picture in the book I worked on, and I’m sure it saved a bunch of people from going blind. :)
