PDC Session Highlight Of The Day #1

I know that I haven’t been blogging much lately, but it isn’t for a lack of wanting to blog.  I’m trying to keep all my entries on the weblogs.asp.net related to .Net, and I’m also trying to remove the “fluff” entries, and only blog when I think it is of some value.

So in order to break the silence, I decided to highlight a particular PDC session each day for a couple days.  I’m going to avoid the high profile presenters, and try to focus on some of the less hyped (but what I feel are equally important) sessions.

Today’s session is:

“Indigo” and “Avalon” Together: The Smart Connected Application
Track: Client   Code: CLI311
Room: Room502AB   Time Slot: Wed, October 29 2:00 PM-3:15 PM
Speakers: Alex Hopmann
This session provides an overview of the built-in data binding technology, including binding to UI controls, two-way transforms, use of business objects, Web services and databases.

Although there isn’t much of a description for this session, the title really says it all.  Combine the hype of Indigo and Avalon, and you may think this is would be a high profile session, but for some reason I haven’t heard any news on this one.  From what I’ve seen the new UI stuff is killer, and a session showing how to make it work with web services via Indigo makes this a session that you shouldn’t miss.
