DNN2 is out! Time to play!
Well, the day has come, DotNetNuke 2.0 has been released. Now developers and site admins scramble to upgrade, maintain, fix, and play with their web sites. I'll be spending the week upgrading the cDotText module to run on DNN2, along with preparing a few of my web sites to be upgraded to the new version. I'll have to wait on some modules to be upgraded, mainly the TTTGallery so that it runs on DNN2, once I have an image gallery I can get solo2.org converted over.

Long slow day...
Looks like a slow day on weblogs.asp.net! I've been out all day working on the car. It was time to change the oil, so of course I used Mobil 1, even the tiny little Mobil 1 filter that costs way too much for something that small ;)

More PR for blogging... Fast Company article
Here's some more PR for blogging, and I must admit, I've started using blogging as a marketing tool over at SoloPerformance.com. It works very well, and I hope to expand the usage to help SoloPerformance expand their market reach.

ASP.NET Forums 2.0 developer discussion...
So we just finished an online conference call for the ASP.NET Forums discussion. It's the first time I've tried to have a conference of that nature on MSNMessenger. It was interesting, a little chaotic, but I think that's just the nature of the beast and the project at this point. I think next meeting Rob's planning on having a little bit better formulated agenda.

Job searching and blogging.
I've seen two posts(ers) over the past few days about jobs and recruiting. It'll be interesting to watch how these blogs prove to be for job hunters and huntees.

Canon Digital Rebel Storage and Use
I picked up a Digital Rebel back on October 4th, since then I've take well over 1500 photos. The real reason I purchased it though is about to start back up! Racing season begins here in St. Louis on March 28th, I hope to start using the camera at some of our events and offering folks the ability to purchase prints which I will then display on Solo2.org for ordering, print them out with my Canon I9100 and mail the prints, or hand deliver to the next race.

MPx200 Unlock'd!
Well, it's complete! I unlocked my MPx200 this morning and am now running it on T-Mobile.

MPx200 Unlock
Someone posted about unlocking MPx200's the other day, and a lawsuit in NY against AT&T and other cell providers. I can't seem the find the entry as I probably deleted it already and it's no in the aggregate feed, or the search engine, but I'm in the boat that I need to unlock my phone. I got my phone on Sunday October 26th, and instantly loved it. It's great, AT&T on the other hand has not. This past weekend I got rid of AT&T and switched my phone number to T-Mobile.

cDotText version 0.2 released!
cDotText Version 0.2 (released 3-9-2004)
This package is a simple solution to semi-integrate .Text blogs into DotNetNuke. It currently allows for four things. -
cDotText V0.2 is coming out tonight!
I'll have the new version available for download later tonight on DnnCart.com. The main new feature is that it no longer requires subdomains for it to function properly, you can have your blogs in a virtual directory below the root (one level is all that has been tested).

DNN Rss aggregation
I was having issue with trying to get the XML feed from this blog to show up on my personal domain, www.chrishammond.com so I had to do a little searching. I ended up finding a page on handcoded that provided the XSL transformation to properly display the HTML in this feed! Thanks to Handcoded!

Archiving an idea... Web site screen shots
Just putting a note in here to remind of me something to work on, and see if anyone else has thought of this or done this already.

dotText with www.dotnetnuke site
I wanted to set dotText up on solo2.org this evening, but I did not want to set it up as I had on DnnCart.com and soloperformance.com with seperate subdomains blogs.dnncart.com and blogs.soloperformance.com. I wanted to set it up to be www.solo2.org/blogs/. Well, DotNetNuke has some HTTPHandlers that allow you to link to it's tabs by name, for example http://www.solo2.org/DesktopDefault.aspx?tabid=27 and http://www.solo2.org/project z/default.aspx both link to the same page. So that throws a kink into the www.solo2.org/blogs link as it throws a few errors when you try to reference the default.aspx page in the dotTextWeb directory (setup as a virtual directory for www.solo2.org/blogs)

MPx200 Lives again!
After about losing faith last night I was able to resurrect my mpx200. I did another Master Reset, and then waited, and waited, and waited. The phone acted like it was on, displayed info on the outside, but didn't show anything but the MLife splash screen on the inside. I had a friend dial the number, and that somehow woke the phone up out of it's slumber. So far it's running fine. I've rebooted only once though, at least until I get home, as I don't want to loose it again before I get off the airplane tonight so I can call my ride!

MPx200 died!
I think my MPx200 has died!!! I need to make some calls, so of course it's gone now. I'm sitting here waiting to see if it will finish doing a master reset, which wipes the flash and supposedly starts it over. It's been running now for a few minutes. I couldn't get the phone to hardly boot, it would boot into a funky mode, couldn't use the power button to shut it down.

It never rains in southern california
I know this isn't true, I lived in Riverside for 4 years, but I mean come on. I come out to California for work for a few days, and what happens? It rains! We had a suprise birthday party for my Aunt today, it rained, then my brother and I went out to Beverly Hills so I could look for a gift for someone, we walked up and down Rodeo drive in the rain.
