Blast from the past

They say eventually your past always catches up to you ;O) My first ever boss has just contacted me (http://bsdbox.homeunix.com). Even though he seems to be an open soressource advocate he happened across some of my on-line wibblings and dropped me an email. Without getting too sentimental I think it is worth acknowledging the people who helped you get to where you are (or apportion blame, either/or!). As my first boss when I was at the tender age of 16, things he said and did could have had many positive or negative repercussions. Thankfully he was a good boss and I kinda turned out OK ;O)

You will I am sure either be in a situation like Rob was, have been already or will be in your future career. What you say or do consciously or inadvertently will stay with the person you choose to mentor long after the moment has gone. Like the proverbial butterfly flapping its wings, you could either create a natural disaster or help someone in a really beneficial way. I thank Rob that he didn't damage me too much, though he may regret what I have turned into ;O)
