3g hits the UK

So we finally get 3g in the UK. What I want to know is how much it will cost for data - is it possibly a way for me to get any sort of broadband connection out where I live?

Aaargh, I don't want to know how many pence it will cost to send a picture - data, that's what I want!

Do I need broadband to develop .NET web sites? I reckon I do. I have ISDN, but that doesn't give me an always on connection (pretty important when consuming web services) or the bandwidth for uploading and downloading decent sized sites.

On that note, how the hell do I force vs.net into uploading individual files or just changes?? Frontpage can do it, why can't vs.net??
